From Detective Sergeant to the Charts: Monique Nikkole Lands Two UNDENIABLE Entries
The Grammy-nominated, Billboard-charting artist brings The Lightshow (Deluxe) to the record store — and "We Are One" is already charting at No. 7.
Monique Nikkole does not fit the mold, and that is precisely the point.
Her official artist biography describes a Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and entrepreneur whose story is the definition of NY Strong — and a Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award honoree. Before all of that, she was a detective sergeant. The Hype Magazine profiled exactly that arc, from law enforcement to a Grammy-nominated career, and it is the reason her records land with a weight that has nothing to do with marketing.
Two records, two charts
The UNDENIABLE charts are now carrying four of her titles:
- "We Are One" — No. 7 on the UNDENIABLE Spotify chart, charting since July 18, 2026
- "Say Yes" — No. 9 on the UNDENIABLE Amazon chart, charting since August 15, 2026
- "Baby It's You" — No. 17 on the UNDENIABLE Spotify chart
- "Red Bottoms and Lingerie (feat. Lil Flip)" — No. 112 on the UNDENIABLE Amazon chart
Two top-ten placements, on two different platforms, from one artist. That kind of spread is hard to fake and harder to buy.
How it's moving on UNDENIABLE
- "Say Yes" — 212,581 spins
- "What I Feel Is Real" — 192,583 spins
- Combined platform streams: 405,164
- "We Are One" added 1,670,064 streams in the current tracking period
- "Say Yes" added 842,995 streams in the same window
The two records are running almost neck and neck, which is rare. Usually one song carries a release; here the audience is splitting its attention, and both sides are growing.
The Lightshow (Deluxe)
"Say Yes" and "What I Feel Is Real" both come from The Lightshow (Deluxe) — the 2025 project that brought her back into the release cycle with new material. "We Are One" followed as a 2025 single, complete with an unplugged video that drew coverage from HipHopSince1987 and a live rendition that showed off the vocals without any studio safety net.
That mix — a compilation-era single, a stripped-back ballad, and a Lil Flip collaboration sitting in the same catalog — is why she is difficult to file under one genre, and why she keeps showing up on charts that do not usually share a page.
Why it matters
Monique Nikkole is the case study for what a second-act career can look like when the artist owns the whole operation. The award recognition came from the work; the chart entries came from the rollout. UNDENIABLE tracks the second half of that equation — and right now it is tracking two top-ten records at once.
